Are You a Carleton Student Experiencing Food Insecurity?
The Unified Support Centre (USC) is here to help! We provide hampers of food and essentials to Carleton University students in need, ensuring that every student has the basic necessities.
To request a hamper, simply login to our secure portal. First-time users must complete their profile, upload the required documents and complete the Intake Form (required by the Ottawa Food Bank). After the profile is completed, you can submit your Hamper Request at any point. We recommend submitting your requests 36 to 72 hours before your preferred pick-up to ensure you have access to the latest selection of items.
Hamper Limits
Students are eligible to receive up to two hampers per month under the standard support of the Emergency Essentials Assistance Program. If you require more assistance, please reach out to us over email with the subject line “Request for Enhanced Assistance”.
Eligibility Reminder
Please note that this service is exclusively for Carleton University students. We’ve noticed that individuals with no affiliation to Carleton University have been attempting to use our services. As much as we’d love to help everyone, we’re funded by the Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA) and Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) therefore, we can only provide support to our own community. Falsifying information and impersonating a Carleton Student will ban you from all USC services.
Pick-Up Requirements
When picking up your hamper, you must show your Carleton University Student ID (campus card). This ensures that our services remain available to our active students only. UPasses, or other forms of ID will not be accepted. Failure to provide a valid campus card may result in the refusal of your hamper.
